Street Soccer USA oversees the growth and development of a national network of grassroots soccer programs helping the impoverished and homeless realize their goals and dreams. More that 75% of participants improve their lives for the better, furthering their education, securing employment and housing, and reconnecting with family.

Each year SSUSA hosts the Street Soccer USA Cup, where inner city street soccer teams and social service agencies compete for the Street Soccer USA Cup. In addition the homeless have the opportunity to be selected for the the US National Street Soccer Team that represents the US at the Homeless World Cup tournament. This year the Street Soccer USA Cup will take place in Washington, DC July 31-August 2nd thanks to the Ted Leonsis Foundation and the Washington Kastles.

Current programs operate in Ann Arbor, Austin Atlanta, Fort Worth Charlotte, Chicago Sacramento, New York Los Angeles, Minneapolis Philadelphia, Washington Richmond, San Francisco St. Louis, Charlottesville     US NATIONAL TEAM At the Street Soccer USA Cup, 8 players are selected to represent the United States at the Homeless World Cup each year. These players are chosen not only for their soccer abilities but also their success in life off the field and for their committment to being ambassadors of goodwill for themselves and the larger homeless population in the US. 28 of our 32 National Team alumni have moved off and stayed off the street since being part of the program. Games are only 15 minutes and feature lots of goals. 160 homeless athletes from California to New York travel to DC to compete for the Street Soccer USA Cup and try out for the US National Street Soccerteam that will travel to the Homeless World Cup in Milan, Italy, alongside no fewer than 47 other countries.
